The winners are in! Thank you to everyone who entered. We had the most entries ever and some of the best fire photography we have ever seen! Thank you to the Vulcan Crew for picking the winners. | | First Place $300 Prize - Burning Dan The artist recognized the potential of the image to work on multiple levels. The portrayal of the fire is exciting and the meta-image of the face created by the fire is brilliantly tied to the display itself mirroring the expression of an observer: shock and awe. | Second Place $150 Prize - Waldemar Horwat This picture breaks your expectation for what fire can look like. The artist uses the flame like paint to create geometric images within the context of performance. The photographer is able to capture this moment along with a beautiful composition and setting. | | Third Place $75 Prize - ZOR
This photograph presents, simultaneously, a wonderful image of fire and an interesting setting that parallels and supports the fire patterns. The composition of the photo itself very strongly pulls your eyes to the performer himself who is surround by darkness and an alien landscape. |
